I’ve never been one to look specifically for deep or controversial lyrics, or any particular content for that matter. Ever since I can remember, I have been drawn to the rhythmic qualities of music. The parts of a song that gets your foot tapping, head nodding, body moving or how ever it makes you react, are the general attributes of music which have always fascinated me. What about music makes us feel this way? And how come some songs portray a feeling, even before the lyrics begin?
This of course, for the most part, has to do with:
-beats per minute
-instruments used
-key of song/ chord structures
Producers add their own personal touch to every piece of work they do. These personal audible elements can define producers and the music they are part of.
I feel producer’s need to stay true to their style by not trying to copy the works of industry professionals. Music is all about creativity, there’s no right or wrong methods either. If it sounds good it’s RIGHT!
